What do I need to drive Dylan?

• Be aged 25 to 70 years old
• Hold a full valid British drivers licence held for a minimum of 2 years
• Be able to provide two forms of identification including proof of permanent address (dated within last 2 months)

What is included?

• Full tank of unleaded fuel (Dylan needs to be returned with full tank)
• Standard equipment (inventory provided on request)
• UK breakdown cover
• Standard Fully Comprehensive Insurance

Insurance details

• As per standard vehicle insurance you will be liable for the first £500 (excess) of all insurance claims during your rental period.
• Tyre and windscreen damage is not included in the insurance
• Therefore you will be liable for replacement of windscreen or tyre damage.
• You will be liable for any damage caused by fire/neglect or malice to the vehicle.
• You will be responsible for any driving penalties occurred whist hiring the van.
• You must not leave the van unlocked at any time when you are not with the vehicle.
• You will be responsible for safe keeping of any property belonging to yourself. We will not be responsible for theft or loss     of any such property.
• You shall be responsible for the cost of recovery for the van should it become trapped or bogged in.

Breakdown

• In the event of a breakdown or accident, a breakdown service is at the disposal of the hirer.
• The breakdown service covers breakdown and relay back to point of hire.
• The hirer will not be charged for anything that is deemed by us to be driver induced error e.g. . running out of fuel, wrong fuel, losing keys
• Yorkshire Camper Hire will not be responsible for any consequential expenses or additional cost incurred in hiring alternative vehicles, late arrivals, missed trains, travel expenses or any third party connection with a breakdown or accident.

Deposit

A £500 deposit is required for all rental periods regardless of length of time. This is a standard insurance requirement.

The £500 security deposit will be used to fund any loss or damage to equipment, fixtures and fittings or negligent damage to the vehicle.

• The security deposit will be refunded to you within 7 days by cheque upon return of the van under the following terms:
• The van is returned to the agreed location no later than the time and date agreed.
• The van is in the same condition as it was hired.
• The interior is clean Inc. all cooking equipment.
• The van has a full tank of petrol.

Booking

• A non refundable booking deposit of £150 is taken to confirm your reservation. (Funds must be cleared to secure booking)
• The balance of rental payment is due six weeks before the rental start date. This can be made by cheque or bank transfer. (Funds must be cleared to secure booking)
• For bookings made less than six weeks before the rental start date full hire charge is required.
• Cancellation of your booking up to two weeks before start date of rental we will refund 50% of the total rental fee. If you cancel less than two weeks before the start date your total fee is non refundable.
• If due to circumstances beyond our control the campervan is not available to hire, the liability of Yorkshire Camper Hire will be limited to the return of the monies paid by the hirer. No other compensation will be paid.

Please make sure you have your own appropriate holiday insurance to cover any eventualities which may prevent you completing your hire of Dylan. There will be no refund in the event of early return e.g. illness, accident, theft.

Hire times and dates

Please allow one hour when collecting the van to complete paper work and van instruction and orientation.

Full Weekly Hire period 14:00 Saturday to 10:00am the following Saturday
Short Breaks either:
Long Weekend Hire 14:00 Friday to 10:00am Monday
Midweek Hire 14:00 Monday to 10:00am Friday

During the peak season mid July to mid Sept we may be limited to the number of short breaks we can provide *
Daily Hire maybe possible as late availability

There is a late return charge of £50 per hour, and please note your vehicle insurance may be affected.

Rental restrictions and rules

• No smoking allowed
• 1 small dog allowed – any damage repair costs or extra valeting costs caused because of, or by a pet travelling in the vehicle must be paid for in full
• Passenger number restrictions apply to a max of 4 people
• Seat belts must be worn when vehicle is being driven
• Any motoring offences and penalties are the driver’s responsibility
• Unleaded fuel is to be used. All costs of having the fuel system cleaned or rectifying and damage will be incurred
• Dylan must not be lent or hired to a third party
• Dylan must not tow any trailer or vehicle or be towed other than by an agreed breakdown provider
• Dylan must not be used for the carriage of passengers or goods for hire or reward
• Dylan must not be used to carry volatile gases or liquids, or any corrosive or flammable material.  (Other than the butane gas provided)
